Alpine has an extensive in-house laboratory that allows us to screen for many health conditions. Having this right at our fingertips allows us to give you fast, accurate answers for your family, without having to wait for an outside lab or risk that your sample could get lost. Our lab is dedicated to giving you peace of mind, often in less than 30 minutes, while you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in our spacious reception area.

Below is just a sample of the many diagnostic tests Alpine Animal Clinic provides for you. Many more are offered to you by using outside specialized labs that are only available at large teaching hospitals, such as for a myriad of genetic, auto-immune, allergic, nutritional and other conditions.

Some of the most common tests are for: blood glucose and diabetes heart liver gall bladder kidney urinary system thyroid bone marrow blood clotting system pancreas proteins, nutrients and electrolytes We test for many infectious diseases including: Parvo Virus Feline Leukemia Virus Feline Immunodeficiency Virus Panleukopenia Heart Worm Disease Intestinal Parasites Lice, mites, fleas and other external parasites We offer in-house specialized testing such as: Antifreeze toxicity Canine Pregnancy testing We have the capability to test blood, urine, and stool samples, and can culture for bacterial and fungal infections.
