Cathy Davis, DVM, CCRT, CVSMT, has been with Alpine Animal Clinic since 2014 and comes to our clinic from Michigan. In addition to practicing full-service veterinary medicine and surgery, Dr. Davis is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, and is also a Certified Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapist. Dr. Davis has particular interest and training in acupuncture, regenerative medicine, ultrasound, orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and pain management.
Dr. Davis is a member of the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. Dr. Cathy Davis is a Fellow of the College of Animal Chiropractors. She is a certified rehabilitation therapist mentor for Canine Rehabilitation Institute and is an OrthoPets partner. Dr. Davis is also a Fear Free Certified Practitioner. Additionally, Dr Davis is the only Montana veterinarian serving on the vet team for Race to the Sky, Montana’s premier sled dog race.
She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Louisville, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. She received her training in acupuncture from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Reddick, Florida, and her Rehabilitation training at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Wellington, Florida. Dr. Davis became a credentialed Certified Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapist in 2017, which is similar to Chiropractics for humans, at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center Post Graduate Program accredited by the United States Department of Education having passed all of the national exams for certification. Additionally, Dr. Davis has been admitted into the College of Animal Chiropractors! Membership in this organization ensures that Dr. Davis is up to date on the latest research and continuing education to offer your pet the safest and most effective adjustments, alleviating pain and helping to optimize joint health.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Davis enjoys photography, entomology, hiking with her dog, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends. Sometimes all at once!
Prior to coming to Montana, she practiced in Michigan for six years, but was lured here, like many of us, by the mountains and abundance of outdoor activity opportunities.
