Dr. Darice Henry, DVM, was born in Spokane, Washington and lived primarily in the Pacific Northwest until joining the U.S. Air Force in 1982 as a dental assistant. Her tour of duty to Lakenheath, England afforded the opportunity to travel and experience the people and places of Europe until her return stateside to Southern California.
While studying for her undergraduate degree in Biology, Dr. Henry worked part-time at Bear Valley Bird and Animal Vet Hospital in Apple Valley, California, thus rekindling her interest and desire to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Dr. Henry moved from California back to Idaho and Washington where she obtained her degrees. Prior to entering veterinary school, Dr. Henry worked as a technician with the avian and exotics specialist at Washington State University, enabling her to gain valuable experience working with birds, reptiles, and pocket pets.
In 2002, Darice fulfilled her dream of becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University, Pullman, in 2003. She moved to Butte, Montana, where Dr. Henry practiced at Amherst Animal Hospital, and then in 2008 to Helena to join Alpine Animal Clinic.
