Rehabilitation Therapy

Come see one of the most advanced canine rehabilitation and conditioning centers in Montana with Helena's only underwater treadmill and an amazing indoor exercise area for targeted therapy and conditioning.  Physical Rehabilitation Therapy applies the same principles and techniques to animal patients that Physical Therapy applies to human patients.  Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy is similar to Chiropractic Therapy in humans.

These techniques are designed to:

  • Accelerate healing

  • Minimize pain

  • Improve strength

  • Increase range of motion

  • Promote return to normal muscular flexibility

  • Improve circulation

  • Improve neurologic function

  • Perform at peak levels

  • Minimize re-injury

Why do we use a Water Treadmill?

Water Treadmill therapy prescribed by your veterinarian therapist will accurately and specifically target the needs of your pet by pinpointing depth of water and the amount of weight-bearing, resistance, and strength training as your pet recovers.

Water Treadmill therapy has the great advantage of safe and gradual return to weight-bearing, carefully increasing resistance, and re-training and developing neuromuscular pathways.  This increases muscle tone, coordination and corrects gait.

Water Treadmill therapy has been shown by many studies to maximize recovery after musculoskeletal and orthopedic injury, and greatly facilitates return to the best function possible.
